Gma and Gpa Engle Visit
Brian and his Dad fished Apple Canyon, had a good time, and caught quite a few fish! They also put up electrical to our pergola. Brian's Mom and I planted veggies, as well as some perennials she's brought me from her greenhouse. We also shopped Lena and Freeport, and she got lots of "Grandma" time in w/ Bryton and Avery...going to the park, riding bikes, playing catch, putting puzzles together, playing games, baking cookies, and playing make-believe :) It was a nice weekend.

Mother's Day Pics
Bryton and Avery planting my gift...big hanging pots for our pergola; spending cuddle time w/ Nana; being plain 'ol silly kids; and playing with their cousins, Addison and Caden, at Gma Candy and Gpa Brad's house. (and yes, Avery would be very upset w/ me for posting the pics of her crack as seen thru the tricycle seat :)

To My Dear Bryton and Avery...On Mother's Day
Your mother is always with you...
She's the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street.
She's the smell of bleach in your freshly laundered socks.
She's the cool hand on your brow when you're not well.
Your mother lives inside your laughter. She's crystallized in every tear drop...
She's the place you came from, your first home.. She's the map you follow with every step that you take.
She's your first love and your first heartbreak....and nothing on earth can separate you.
Not time, Not space...Not even death....will ever separate you from your mother....
You carry her inside of you....
(author unknown)
I love you both so very much, and I thank God for you every single day :)

Time for the Lake
Last night we were invited over to friends, who live at Apple Canyon. It was fun to hang out, have a picnic, and anticipate boating season! Yeahhhh! Its right around the corner, and we can't wait! Brian has been out fishing a little bit, and our friends have been out water skiing in their dry suits. Crazies! The water is only 60 degrees!

Funny Stuff
Our kids make us laugh :)
Bryton has started doing this "opera-like- singing" gig...after church last Sunday, he broke out into a little diddy, randomly. The funny thing is, he's got a really good soprano voice! Hopefully its awhile 'til that changes, but for now, it makes us all laugh 'cuz he does it as a joke, at the oddest times.
Avery picks up on every little thing she hears, conversation wise. I used to have the reputation "ears" when I was younger, and she is most definitely following in my footsteps. The other morning, she was playing in her little kitchen, making breakfast...and her conversation revolved around the word "manager" :) I think she said it about 20 times, over the course of 5 minutes! And last night she was talking to her dad, asking him while he was waxing his truck "well, what do you really know about that?! "do you really know about what you are doing?" (in this sassy little voice, with her hand on her hip, and her hip cocked.)
