Happy Birthday, Sweet Girl

<BR>

Today is Avery's 5th Birthday....

She had a full day, which she'd been looking forward to for about 6 months :) These pictures are posted backwards...so pls bear w/ me.DIV>
Her day consisted of her Bday party at school, then another at her babysitters, then getting her ears pierced (yikes! but she did GREAT), and then pizza and Bday brownies w/ ice cream!!! Needless to say, she had a special day and she is zonked!
And it seems like yesterday that we were holding her for the very first time.....on a night like this (weather-wise) 5 yrs. ago :)
Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!

Excitement

How is it that children's excitement can be so motivating for adults?! For example, when they are excited to go to school, it seems to set the day off on the right foot for this family...or when they are excited about a meal we are having, and we don't have to say "one more bite," we all seem to enjoy dinner that much more :) If only I could bottle up some of their excitement, and open it up to give me a little kick in the butt motivation wise, when they aren't around!
The rides are up in Lena, for the Lena Fall Festival, and you can imagine their excitement! We've been talking about this event for about 2 months now....and last night, they really wanted to go check out the rides. So, we jumped into the truck and headed down there to do a few pass-thru's. They were so squirmy and talkative, discussing which ones they'd be going on! And yep, I'm pretty excited after that little ride-looking adventure, also! The Ferris Wheel, the Scrambler, the Paratrooper, the Gravitron (its now called Zero Gravity)...all the good-'ol favorites....fun!

Sweet Dreams

As I write this, Bryton and Avery have both been sleeping soundly, for over an hour now. The house is quiet, a nice breeze is coming through the window, and I find myself peeking in on them sleeping ...peacefully, in the arms of angels.
