...to Duck, NC! Yea!!! Vacation has officially begun, as we head thru the longggggg state of IL right now :) Thanks to Aunt Kristen and Uncle Jerod, the kids have a "gift" to open each time they enter a new state! We'll be arriving at our destination tomorrow late afternoon, meeting Jerod's family and Nana Cheryl. Gma and Gpa Engle Visit

Gma and Gpa's last visit was filled w/ fishing, planting garden, playing outside w/ Sophie (their new puppy), shopping, and playing pretend....A great start to a busy last week of school. Class picnics, end of year programs, and a field trip consumed this week. Today, Thursday, was the last full day of school this year, and Bryton and Avery will miss seeing their teachers and classmates every day. They are anxious for summer fun and relaxed schedules, though, as am I!

Tastes of Spring

Sauteed morel mushrooms; moist rhubarb cake; and roasted asparagus...does a meal get any better, than when these are included in the menu?! Mmmmm...all 3 are what we've enjoyed so far this week, thanks to Brian's dedicated morel hunting and Cindy's asparagus and rhubarb crop :)
