This Week's Funnies and Special Moments
- Feeling my new little niece kick inside her mommy's tummy (very special :)
- Secretly watching Avery move her stuffed animals to just the right spot in her bedroom, when she was supposed to be in bed...'til her mommy duck started quacking loudly and Avery knew she would be busted by her own mommy (hilarious :)
- Bryton doing great at Modified baseball practice...next week he starts his games, and I think he's as ready as he's going to be!
- Bryton telling me that the best school day would be "get to school. play at recess all morning. eat sugary stuff for lunch. go back to recess. go home." (we both got a good laugh out of that...because bryton pointed out he wouldn't learn much, but it sure would be fun!)
- Watching Brian try to clean paintball splats...that won't come off our basketball hoop...he scrubbed and scrubbed them, probably thinking, "crap, guess I shouldn't have shot this thing."
- Playing at the park, and enjoying the fact that Bryton and Avery really do play well together...most of the time. And they are sure growing up too quickly.
- Bryton kicking his Mom's butt in 2 games of PIG, w/ Avery as our cheerleader (hilarious...and yes, I did let him win the 2nd game :)

The Scoop
So I'm getting good at posting pics, but not writing about what is going on 'round here :) Bryton is officially done w/ school as of yesterday...which he is ecstatic about! He had a great school yr. and now he is ready for a summer break. His report card was very good, and last night we celebrated that.... along w/ our 7 yr. wedding anniversary, by ordering in Chinese and just hanging out! Yum :) The kids went to bed early, and Brian and I watched The Divinci Code together (or at least the end of it...since he'd already started it a few nights ago). It was a very quiet and nice evening.
Yep, 7 yrs. of wedded bliss! Hard to believe it is 7 yrs already, and as my SIL puts it "now we are livin' the life" of kids, dogs, home, school, work, etc...all kinds of responsibilities...but we have so many great memories so far!
This summer will be filled with Modified baseball for Bryton, on Mon. and Wed. mornings, from 8:30-9:30, and swimming lessons for both of them starting in a few weeks. We'll also get lots of pool and lake time in, I'm sure! We are all ready for summer days, I think.
Avery is doing well. She seems to mature by the week...personality wise. I have a feeling they will both be ready for school once August gets here, as they were already arguing yesterday afternoon quite a bit :) Ahhh...sibling rivalry is a great thing, even at the ages of 6 and 3 (who knew it started that early? not me)
Work is going well for both Brian and I. He is traveling a little less (watch, I probably just jinxed that)...but I have needed to travel a little more. It is hard to avoid when over half of the employees working for the company I work for, are located in the Charleston and Stafford offices. I'm very lucky to have an understanding husband and family and friends who can help fill the gap when I'm gone a few day a week every couple of months.
Avery and Bryton continue to make us laugh every day. Of course, they can also make us upset...but they are usually sweet and loving kids. We are very proud of the little people they've become, and we have much to be thankful for!!!
