What we learned by looking at old pictures and watching old video's awhile ago:

1. Our kids have grown up wayyyy too quickly - especially Bryton, we watched a video of him in the bathtub where I was pretending to bite his toes, and he kept saying "Again" over and over, in his sweet 'lil toddler voice.
2. Many people lied to us, telling us Avery was cute from age 3 mo. - 1 yr. Brian and I got many good laughs out of how so not cute she actually was!
3. I change my hairstyle and color a lot.
4. There are special family members who are gone, whom we have many great memories of....
5. Our family prefers the out of doors, based on the big smiles in the pictures taken there!
6. Our house in Lena has been a wonderful home to raise our kids in, and we will miss it if/when we sell.
7. My years as a stay-at-home Mom, when the kids were very small, are ones I am very thankful for.

Wow, What a Slacker I Am...

It has been awhile since I've posted :( What's been "up" here? Bryton passed his Hunter's Safety Course; the kids attended the Lena Train Show w/ their dad; and we had a style show of "fancy clothes" for events coming up this Spring.

Bryton is 8 Years Old!!!

Wow, we can't believe this is possible...but Bryton turned 8 years old this week :) What's this boy all about these days? He's growing quickly - outgrowing his size 8 pants and in size 4 shoes; he loves sports - basketball, baseball, and football, so far; he doesn't like bed time or sleeping, for that matter; he tolerates school (does well, but doesn't love being there, except for recess); drawing continues to captivate him, as do video, computer, and Wii games; he loves to be outside, and is just starting to get into "hunting" w/ Brian - he'll be in a hunter's safety course in a few weeks!; Bryton is big into his friends, which is why we let him invite as many kids as possible to his birthday party - no restrictions!; his favorite foods are cheese quesadilla's, grilled cheese sandwiches, french toast stix, steak, eggs, and taco's; he still calls his mom "Mama" (he started this on his own, when he was very small and it has stuck - which makes me smile b/c his friends are thrown off when he does this, since also he uses the words "Dude","Awesome","Cool", and "Sweet" a lot in their presence; He still loves toys - especially lego's, semi's, trucks, army-type men, and models of planes and trains. Bryton is a very compassionate, sweet boy...Happy Birthday Buddy!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I have very good memories of Mom making pink, heart shaped pancakes on Valentine's Day morning, when we were kids! So the tradition continues at our house! (even though this one looks like pink Mickey Mouse ears :)
